The MixSupporting Young People

This year, The Dukes Foundation supported The Mix in raising awareness of the support they offer to young people across the UK. With this funding they were able to engage a diversity of young people in creating physical materials that were distributed to 200 schools and youth centres.

The primary objective was to promote better wellbeing, reduce stigma, and help secondary school students make positive choices through just-in-time information and offer an accessible journey to crisis and counselling support when required. Alongside this, they helped young people develop short-form video content around various aspects of wellbeing that resonated with them. These provided tips for self-care and promoted help-seeking behaviour to be shared across digital platforms, during school assemblies, and integrated into classroom discussions to spark meaningful conversation.

Each part of the project was led by young people with an emphasis on utilising these voices as a powerful medium for education and signposting.
