Chief Executive, The Dukes Foundation
Glen Fendley is the Chief Executive of the Foundation, responsible for driving the Foundation’s grant making and bursary fund strategies. Glen has long been a passionate advocate for equal access to education through bursary funding and is highly motivated to make a difference for charitable organisations who play key roles in transforming the lives of young people here in the UK and around the world.
He has enjoyed a nearly thirty-year career as one of the UK’s most prominent professional fundraisers delivering multi-million-pound targets for ambitious capital campaigns.
His previous professional fundraising roles include NSPCC, WWF-UK, and the Girls Day School Trust (GDST). At the GDST, Glen led the growth of fundraising at the trust, helping to create unprecedented levels of capital income for the group to realise major projects as diverse as performing arts centres, sports pavilions, music studios and sixth form centres.
He has also held a range of trustee and governor roles which includes a multi academy trusts (Astrea Multi Academy Trusts) and independent school (Godolphin and Latymer School).
As Chair of the Institute of Development Professionals in Education (IDPE), he worked closely with his Executive and board of development professionals to manage an unprecedented growth in its membership and supporting its members’ bursary funding programmes.
